Fast Diagnosis Rule
Troubleshoot in this order:
- App/version baseline
- Device and player baseline
- Network baseline
- Add-on layer
Most failed troubleshooting starts at step 4 too early.
4-Step Baseline Check
1) App Baseline
- Update to latest stable build for your platform.
- Restart app and device.
- Confirm account is correct.
2) Player Baseline
- Test with alternate player backend if available.
- Use one known title for A/B testing.
3) Network Baseline
- Confirm stable latency and packet behavior, not only peak speed.
- Prefer ethernet for TV devices when possible.
4) Add-on Baseline
- Disable recent add-on changes.
- Keep one known-good stack.
- Re-add changes one at a time.
Official support notes that poor source availability can look like app/network failure. Validate source quality before deep system changes.

Across 2024-2026 community reports:
- Android TV regressions can appear after updates and improve with patched releases.
- Buffer complaints often mix three causes: source quality, player backend, and weak Wi-Fi.
- βNo streamsβ often means provider availability, not account failure.
When to Escalate
Escalate (community or official channels) after you have:
- Reproduced issue on a known title
- Tested both player backends
- Captured app version + platform details
- Listed recent add-on changes
