Before You Install Anything

Preparation checklist:

  • Confirm you are signed into the intended Stremio account.
  • Note your current add-ons (screenshot or text list).
  • Verify the exact add-on URL and domain.
  • Decide a test title for playback verification.

Safe Install Procedure

Install Workflow

  1. Open add-ons in Stremio and start from trusted sources.
  2. If using a URL install, verify HTTPS and exact domain spelling.
  3. Install one add-on at a time.
  4. Run a quick functional test:
    • Search returns expected results.
    • Stream/caption behavior matches the add-on type.
    • No unexpected redirects or prompts.
  5. Wait for sync to propagate to other devices before adding more.

  1. Identify exactly which add-on you are removing.
  2. Remove only one add-on in each cycle.
  3. Restart Stremio.
  4. Re-test the same title used during install testing.
  5. If sync looks stale, sign out/in once and verify account consistency.
