If you encounter security issues, scams, or malicious add-ons in the Stremio ecosystem, reporting them helps protect the entire community. This guide shows you how and where to report problems.

What to Report

Security Issues

Report these immediately:

  • Malicious add-ons stealing data or credentials
  • Account compromises or unauthorized access
  • Phishing attempts impersonating Stremio
  • Malware distribution through add-ons or links
  • Security vulnerabilities in Stremio itself

Scams and Fraud

Report fraudulent activities:

  • Fake premium services asking for payment
  • Credential harvesting schemes
  • Fake support scams requesting access
  • Misleading advertising about Stremio features
  • Impersonation of official Stremio accounts

Problematic Add-ons

Report add-ons that:

  • Display excessive or malicious ads
  • Redirect to suspicious websites
  • Request inappropriate permissions

How to Document Issues

For Add-on Issues:

  3. Protect privacy:

When reporting issues:
